For over fifteen years The Semrau Law Firm has defended the rights of individuals charged with criminal offenses with skill, persistence and creativity. The mission of our practice is to provide total, professional service to people charged with criminal offenses, making the “best defense” the goal of every case. An aggressive, thorough and creative approach is brought to every case.

We believe that we can only be free if all people are free. We keep our promises, and we gladly accept a lawyer’s ethical duty to represent our clients “zealously within the bounds of the law”.

Scott Patrick Semrau, Attorney

Mr. Semrau is currently President of the Cobb Bar Association Criminal Law Section. He is the immediate past Vice President for the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is a graduate of the National Criminal Defense College. He received his law degree cum laude from Tulane Law School and his undergraduate degree cum laude from Georgia State University.

Scott Patrick Semrau is a published author and speaker on the topics of criminal defense, probation revocation, child molestation defense, legal research, law practice management, and criminal evidentiary foundations. He is an Officer of the Cobb County Bar Association and a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Mr. Semrau is admitted to practice law in all Georgia State and Superior Courts, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and the United States 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. He was born in Detroit, Michigan and lives in Cobb County with his wife and three children.

Linton S. Johnson III, Attorney

Mr. Johnson accepts clients charged with felony, misdemeanor, and traffic offenses for the firm. Mr. Johnson is an experienced trial attorney with a keen sense of what it takes to successfully work a case through to its conclusion. Mr. Johnson obtained his Bachelor’s from The University of Georgia and also earned his Juris Doctorate from The University of Georgia School of Law.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Johnson practiced law as an Assistant Public Defender in the Enotah Judicial Circuit. There he gained invaluable trial experience while defending the rights of the citizens of North Georgia. Mr. Johnson was raised in Elberton, Georgia and now lives with his wife in the metro Atlanta Area.

Tomeca L. Kellogg, Senior Legal Administrator

Ms. Kellogg is a native of Marietta, Georgia. She is a graduate of Marietta High School and has completed undergraduate training in paralegal studies at Clayton College and State University. She has worked in administrative roles in the Marietta legal community since January 2001.

As the Firm’s Senior Legal Administrator, Ms. Kellogg keeps the office running, the case files in order, and the calendars straight. Ms. Kellogg manages the attorney’s schedules and knows where to find them at any time. Feel free to call her with all of your case specific or procedural questions about the legal process.

Liz Graves, Legal Assistant

Ms. Graves is a native of Houston, Texas. She has completed undergraduate studies in Paralegal from Herzing College and is currently enrolled and seeking her Paralegal Degree at North Metro Technical College. Ms. Graves is the telephone voice of the Semrau Law Firm. She manages document production and scheduling.
